Role Summary

Principal Scientist, Discovery DMPK Bioanalytical โ€šร„รฎ You will apply mass spectrometry skills to solve challenging bioanalytical problems and support discovery programs across GSKโ€šร„รดs portfolio, planning and building LC-MS capabilities for biologics in a fast-paced lab environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support GSKโ€šร„รดs portfolio deliverables using LC-MS approaches across modalities (large/small molecule, oligonucleotides, etc.) and provide leadership as a subject matter expert in large molecule LC-MS bioanalysis.
  • Plan, develop, and execute large molecule LC-MS analyses required by the evolving portfolio; define trajectory of LC-MS approaches for biologics; collaborate cross-functionally to understand needs and deliver goals.
  • Establish best practices for sample preparation, quantitation strategies, and data analysis to drive projects and build organizational expertise in biopharmaceutical bioanalysis.

Qualifications

  • Required: Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field with 2+ years postdoctoral/industry experience; or M.S. with 5+ years; or B.S. with 8+ years.
  • Experience in mass spectrometry-based analysis of biopharmaceutics (e.g., antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates) and related components.
  • Experience implementing new instrumentation, technology, and workflows to solve analytical problems.
  • Experience with high-resolution mass spectrometry instrumentation and data analysis.
  • Laboratory experience analyzing DMPK/related assays (in vitro, in vivo, toxicokinetic) using mass spectrometry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in using and troubleshooting Sciex mass spectrometers, including Time-of-Flight instruments.
  • Experience with bioanalysis of oligonucleotide therapeutics (siRNA, ASOs, or related modalities).
  • Prior involvement in matrix leadership, including cross-functional initiatives or guiding scientific strategy across multiple teams.
  • Familiarity with regulatory expectations for large molecule bioanalysis.
