Principal Scientist (Anatomic Pathologist, MD)

Responsibilities:
- Establish new histopathology-based assays in the lab as part of a team.
- Perform thorough histopathology reviews and test clinical samples using expertise in targeted disease processes/pathways.
- Collaborate on the development and analytic validation of digital pathology algorithms.
- Interface with scientists and physicians in early/late-stage clinical development to execute histopathology-based biomarker strategies in clinical trials.
- Provide expert pathologist input in a highly matrixed environment with internal/external stakeholders.

Qualifications:
- Education: MD (or equivalent) or MD/PhD with specialized training in Anatomic Pathology.
- Required Experience/Skills: 1–3 years post-residency; biological research experience; multidisciplinary teamwork; proficient in anatomic pathology diagnosis and routine histopathology testing including IHC and cytogenetics (in-situ hybridization); knowledge of sample quality/testing procedures and applicable lab regulations; strong oral/written communication and scientific contributions; project leadership in fast-paced settings; strong relationships with collaborators; knowledge of clinical lab regulatory standards and GxP workflows; knowledge of relevant disease processes.

Preferred:
- Digital/computational pathology algorithm development/analytic validation.
- Diagnostic/pharma industry experience; translational medicine/drug development knowledge.
- Clinical biomarker development/biomarker assay implementation experience.
- Multiplex spatial profiling assays; whole slide imaging platforms; image analysis software (e.g., Visiopharm, HALO, QuPath); statistical software (e.g., Prism, SPSS); regulated clinical bioanalysis.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated): $255,800–$402,700; annual bonus/long-term incentive if applicable; medical/dental/vision, retirement (401(k)), paid holidays, vacation, and sick/compassionate days.
