Role Overview:
Principal Scientist to join immunology and immuno-oncology (IO) clinical biomarker projects focused on hematological malignancies. Drive clinical translational understanding of novel hematology therapies; serve as biology lead on cross-functional teams and guide MOA of novel cell therapies and clinical biomarker strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and analyze clinical study results to investigate mechanisms of action for novel IO targets in hematological indications (e.g., AML, DLBCL, Multiple Myeloma).
- Use primary human samples and clinical datasets to validate targets and understand the immune microenvironment in hematology.
- Oversee generation and interpretation of high-dimensional molecular and cellular data; leverage single-cell technologies (e.g., scRNA-seq) to profile immune cell compartments, including T-cell states and exhaustion markers, to inform patient stratification and biomarker hypotheses.
- Collaborate closely with other functional teams to strengthen understanding of MOA and fundamental immunology.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Immunology, Immuno-Oncology, Cellular Biology, or closely related discipline; able to initiate and lead data-driven MOA studies. Cell therapy experience a plus (not required).
- 5–8+ years post-doctoral and/or industry experience in biotech/pharma; track record advancing IO programs. Deep immunology/T-cell biology knowledge highly desirable.
- Deep hematology expertise (blood and bone marrow tumor immune microenvironment).
- Experience with multiple-dimensional data; ability to extract biological insights highly desirable.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to distill complex data into actionable decisions.
