Job Summary
- Lead discovery and translational research for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases within a targeted protein degradation (TPD) platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead one or more autoimmune-focused discovery programs from target identification through candidate selection, including experimental strategy and milestones to generate robust translational data packages for progression toward development.
- Integrate biology, pharmacology, and chemistry data to enable data-driven decisions and portfolio prioritization.
- Identify and validate novel targets and pathways driving autoimmune disease biology.
- Design and execute in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo studies to support validation, differentiation, and mechanism-of-action of degraders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve key company goals.
- Analyze, summarize, and present data at team meetings.
- Build and manage academic and industry collaborations.
- Mentor/develop junior scientists and provide technical leadership.
Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, or related field; 10+ years industry experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical drug discovery.
- Demonstrated success leading autoimmune or inflammatory disease programs.
- Deep expertise in immune cell biology (e.g., T cells, myeloid cells), inflammatory/autoimmune disorders, and cellular/molecular assay design.
- Strong scientific achievement record (publications, patents, or pipeline contributions).
Preferred:
- Experience in CRO management.
- Experience with targeted protein degradation.
- Experience developing human-relevant translational models (ex vivo systems, patient-derived samples, complex immune assays).
Compensation
- Base pay range: $187,632.00β$207,383.00 annually (may vary based on factors including knowledge, skills, and experience).
