Principal Scientist – Analytics Team Lead

Role: Lead physical chemistry and mass spectrometry analytics to evaluate biotherapeutic developability at Novartis Biologics Research Center. Objectives include developing and implementing PCA and MS strategies supporting diverse biologics (antibodies, fusion proteins, ADCs, gene therapy vectors) transitioning into clinical stages. Responsibilities: oversee analytics operations, guide technological innovation, manage a team of up to 5 associates, ensure high-quality deliverables, and foster a collaborative, ethical team culture. Requirements: PhD in biochemistry, chemistry, or related field; 3+ years industry experience with 2+ years in people management; expertise in recombinant protein analysis via MS, chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, and light scattering; experience with advanced LC-MS techniques, instrumentation, and data analysis; proven leadership skills.
