Position Summary:
Bristol Myers Squibb is looking for an experienced Senior or Principal Scientist specializing in Analytical Development. Advance analytical methods to support development and manufacturing of RNA therapeutics, using chromatography and mass spectrometry to create and implement assays characterizing both RNA drug substance and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) drug products.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert in separation science; develop novel analytical methods for RNA-based products and delivery systems.
- Investigate new techniques/technologies to provide analytical support across product development stages.
- Establish methods to identify/characterize LNP-related impurities and assess critical quality attributes of protein-conjugated LNPs.
- Transfer methods to internal/external testing labs; provide SOPs, technical reports, and method qualification plans for verification/qualification/validation.
- Collaborate with RNA/LNP Process Development, research, preclinical manufacturing, and other BMS groups to meet timelines and testing needs.
- Lead troubleshooting; supervise routine analytical testing, review data, and perform testing as needed.
- Operate/maintain HPLC and mass spectrometry instruments.
- Document and communicate results; approach analytical challenges creatively to build an analytical platform.

Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field with 8+ years CMC experience; BS/MS with relevant experience considered.
- Extensive chromatography (HPLC/UPLC) experience across separation modes (reversed phase, ion exchange, size exclusion, AF4) and detection methods (MS, MALS, CAD).
- Hands-on method development and impurity characterization for LNP-related impurities (highly desirable).
- Experience with RNA/oligonucleotides, lipid nanoparticles, and/or proteomics (strongly preferred).
- GxP principles familiarity (preferred); early-stage product development experience (advantageous).
- Problem-solving skills; independent and collaborative; strong attention to detail.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Cambridge, MA: $137,810–$166,994 (plus possible incentive cash/stock based on eligibility). Health, wellbeing, financial protection benefits; Paid Time Off.
