Principal Scientist, ADCs Discovery Biology, Oncology Thematic Research Center
Responsibilities:
- Lead matrixed ADC discovery teams from target concept to IND; lead/mentor a biology team supporting in vitro experimentation.
- Use current/new function-based techniques to identify and select ADC lead drug candidates.
- Apply technical knowledge to ADC mechanisms of action, including evaluating novel payload classes and linker strategies.
- Collaborate with functional area leads (pharmacology, DMPK, bioinformatics, informatics/predictive science) to define program priorities/risks and drive programs forward.
- Design/execute studies with bioinformaticians and translational scientists to support patient stratification and target engagement PD marker identification.
- Present complex concepts to governance committees and project meetings; communicate progress via email, written reports, and presentations.
- Mentor/develop junior scientists.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree + 8+ years OR Master’s + 6+ years OR Ph.D./equivalent + 4+ years in life sciences (academic/industry).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. + 4+ years industry oncology drug discovery.
- Hands-on high-throughput cell-based assays for antibody screening/ADC activity.
- Experience profiling complex biologics; linker-payload design/evaluation; IND filing.
- Leadership/mentoring; multi-project prioritization; clear data interpretation; strong oral/written communication; problem-solving.
- Experience using AI/data-driven tools for decisions/planning.
Compensation/Benefits:
- Cambridge Crossing: $156,180–$189,252; additional incentive cash/stock may be available (eligibility-based).
