Overview
We are seeking an experienced neuroscientist with strong drug discovery expertise to join our Discovery Psychiatry team. Apply drug discovery principles through exploratory to late-stage discovery programs and integrate in vitro and in vivo electrophysiological approaches. Strong understanding of neural circuits, multimodal neurophysiological methodologies, and translational utility.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish a drug discovery framework in the Psychiatry portfolio
- Develop and implement research workflows integrating complex multimodal datasets
- Align development and discovery with broader cross-functional program goals
- Support strategic decision-making in psychiatry drug discovery
- Provide scientific guidance and mentoring to junior scientists and research associates
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs in a science-related field with 16 yearsโ experience; or Masterโs in Science or PharmD with 14 years; or PhD in Science/related field with 8 years
- Industry experience in early discovery for Psychiatry
- Demonstrated neurophysiology and/or functional approaches experience, including designing/executing studies of synaptic and circuit modulation relevant to psychiatric indications
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building translational frameworks or predictive approaches for functional biology data
