Key responsibilities:
- Design, engineer, and produce multispecific biologics supporting multiple therapeutic areas.
- Serve as Multispecifics Engineering representative on cross-functional teams (Therapeutic Area, Discovery Biotherapeutics, Development Sciences), providing updates, analysis, and advice; recognized expert in multispecific design and production.
- Act as Biologics Lead to coordinate activities and transitions from hit generation through candidate nomination.
- Independently identify/solve technical problems; conceive and implement innovative research ideas.
- Ensure consistency and quality of technical reports.
- Present original work internally and at internal/external scientific conferences; may author/co-author peer-reviewed papers or patents.
Qualifications:
- PhD or MS in Biochemistry, Biochemical engineering, or related.
- 6+ (PhD) or 12+ (MS) yearsβ experience in multispecific engineering or antibody engineering.
- Experience with protein/biologics/fragments/multispecifics design, expression, and purification (e.g., bispecifics/trispecifics/fusions).
- In-depth knowledge of multispecific design landscape and applications across immunology, oncology, and neuroscience.
- Ability to recognize emerging areas and connect ideas to advance platforms/programs.
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects; team player in fast-paced, multidisciplinary settings.
- Goal-oriented with strong verbal/written communication and a can-do attitude.
Preferred:
- Sequence analysis tools (Vector NTI, Geneious, Genedata); mass spectrometry (Protein Metrics); CRO coordination.
- Expert understanding of current protein expression/separation/analytical technologies.
- Program management from exploratory through candidate nomination.
- Experience managing direct reports.
- Publications/patents.
