Role: Principal Scientist leading in vivo antibody discovery within AbbVie's Biotherapeutics and Genetics Medicine department, focusing on immunology, oncology, and neuroscience. Responsibilities: oversee hit identification, screening, lead selection, and candidate nomination; design innovative antigen engineering and immunization strategies; provide technical and strategic leadership across discovery platforms, including B cell, immune repertoire, and hybridoma methods; evaluate emerging technologies like AI-driven workflows and automation; mentor staff and contribute to scientific publications and patents. Requirements: PhD in immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related field; 6+ years (PhD) or equivalent industry experience; deep expertise in antibody discovery platforms, antigen design, and immunization strategies; proficiency in antibody engineering, developability, and novel discovery technologies. Preferred: experience with camelid VHH platforms, bioinformatics pipelines, AI/ML-enabled design, and multidisciplinary team leadership.
