Role Summary

Principal Product Manager, Developer and AI Platform based preferably in Santa Clara, CA, with remote consideration across the United States. Responsible for defining and building a next-generation surgical intelligence platform to empower healthcare products, collaborating with software engineers, data scientists, AI/ML engineers, data engineers, and program managers to deliver a scalable edge-to-cloud platform and drive adoption across the surgical ecosystem. JJMT Digital aims to craft the future of digital surgery by developing software solutions for hospitals, clinicians, and patients throughout pre-operative care to post-operative support.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Leadership: Work with senior leadership to drive platform vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with J&J MTD data, AI/ML and business strategies; identify market trends and client needs to inform long-term planning; clearly articulate platform strategy and impact to stakeholders at various technical levels.
  • Technical Product Management & Execution: Synthesize developer needs into critical user journeys and platform requirements; define detailed platform requirements, acceptance criteria, and success metrics; design cloud-native architectures on AWS, GCP, or Azure; own the AI/ML stack for hybrid and sovereign clouds; lead grooming sessions with data science and engineering teams; drive execution with partners; ensure platform supports model risk management, onboarding, and compliance; foster innovation and collaboration across a matrix organization.

Qualifications

  • Required: 8+ years of product management experience in AI/ML, with focus on model development, deployment, and monitoring in a fast-paced environment.
  • Required: 3+ years building internal tools and reusable services to improve Developer Experience and support digital products.
  • Required: High degree of technical understanding to collaborate with engineers, architects, and AI/ML practitioners; strong grasp of ML/LLM Ops and AI development lifecycle.
  • Required: Strong technical acumen to translate complex concepts into clear product requirements; proven track record delivering AI/ML products from ideation to launch; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence across all levels.
  • Required: Understanding of cloud infrastructure, APIs, and data pipelines.
  • Preferred: Experience on digital platforms or ecosystems, especially in healthcare.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with AI/ML workflows involving clinical, imaging, or video data; knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, HL7, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, DICOMweb).
  • Preferred: Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where platform strategy evolves.
