Principal Process Engineer, Lilly Medicine Foundry

Role: Small molecule Process Engineer supporting API synthesis at Lilly's new Lebanon, Indiana manufacturing site, focused on process development, optimization, and equipment support for GMP production. Responsibilities: assess impact and risks of unit operations, develop process knowledge, ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, and communicate with cross-functional teams including HSE, Quality Assurance, and Operations. Qualifications: BS/MS in Chemical Engineering or related field; minimum 4 years' experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or chemical manufacturing. High-value: supporting active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing, process optimization, equipment modeling, and scaling; familiarity with unit operations like reactions, distillation, and filtration; experience with process control systems and relevant software such as Aspen or DeltaV. Work setup: initial location at Lilly Technology Center or Parkwood West, with permanent placement at the new Lilly Medicines Foundry in Lebanon; full-time, with a flexible, team-oriented environment.
