Role: Small molecule Process Engineer supporting the startup of Lilly's new GMP manufacturing site in Lebanon, IN, focusing on active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) synthesis. Responsibilities: provide technical assessment for process development and optimization, support equipment design and validation, ensure cGMP compliance, perform impact and risk assessments, model and simulate scale-up, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Tech Services, and Operations. Requirements: BS or MS in Chemical Engineering, minimum 4 years in pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing, experience with unit operations such as reactions, distillation, and filtration, and familiarity with process control systems. Preferred: experience with API manufacturing, development, and software tools like Aspen or DeltaV; strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
