Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Principal IT Systems Engineer to play a critical role in maintaining the reliability, uptime, availability, and performance of our manufacturing IT server and infrastructure environments, as well as managing compliance solutions. This position is instrumental in ensuring the stability and operational efficiency of our IT infrastructure while strictly adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor and maintain Windows Server environments to guarantee efficient performance and reliability.
  • Configure and manage virtualized environments, including virtual machines, storage, and networking, to meet evolving business needs.
  • Identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring high availability, security, and resilience of network resources.
  • Conduct detailed root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence, improving system reliability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.
  • Ensure rigorous compliance with GMP standards across all relevant processes and systems.
  • Implement and manage robust change control processes to uphold system integrity and compliance.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure IAM systems and infrastructure align with organizational security policies and frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Required: 8+ years of relevant experience with data center technologies (VMware, NetApp, Dell EMC storage), backup solutions, and IT and Security operations.
  • Preferred: 10+ years of relevant experience with data center technologies (VMware, NetApp, Dell EMC storage), backup solutions, and IT and Security operations.
  • Preferred: 3–5 years of experience in system administration, network engineering, or a related role. Experience working in GMP environments and ensuring compliance with relevant standards preferred.
  • Preferred: Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, VCP, CCNA, SailPoint, CyberArk) are a plus.

Education

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • Identity and access management tools (SailPoint, CyberArk) and exposure management (Ivanti)
  • Security operations and IAM alignment with frameworks

  • Visibility and monitoring tools (Nexthink, Axonious) and overall environment visibility
