Role: Principal Data Scientist - Oncology within Johnson & Johnson's Data Science and Digital Health team, focusing on developing scalable biomedical knowledge graph infrastructure for Oncology R&D. Responsibilities: design and implement ontology-driven, interoperable graph databases; curate and extend biomedical ontologies (diseases, drugs, targets, pathways); develop data ingestion pipelines using RDF/GraphQL; enable AI and NLP applications; collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize and curate AI-ready datasets; manage infrastructure deployment and documentation. Requirements: Ph.D. or Master's in bioengineering, computer science, bioinformatics, or related field; 5+ years in health informatics or biomedical data science; expertise in semantic web technologies (RDF, SPARQL, OWL), graph databases (Neo4j, Neptune), and large-scale biomedical datasets; programming skills in RDF, linked data, NLP; experience with data modeling, ontologies, and pharma/healthcare domain integration. Preferred: experience in knowledge graph construction, ontology development, and CI/CD; familiarity with clinical, genomics, proteomics data; stakeholder management skills.
