Role: Principal Data Scientist - Oncology within Johnson & Johnson's Data Science and Digital Health team, focused on developing scalable knowledge graph infrastructure for oncology R&D data integration and standardization. Responsibilities: design and implement graph models, curate ontologies, develop data pipelines, and enable AI/ML applications like NLP and predictive modeling across biomedical datasets, ensuring interoperability and long-term maintainability. Collaborates with cross-functional teams including clinical, discovery, IT, and data science to standardize datasets, develop tools, and deploy infrastructure. Requirements: Ph.D. or Master's in bioinformatics, computer science, or related fields; 5+ years in health informatics with expertise in knowledge graphs, semantic web technologies (RDF, OWL, SPARQL), and biomedical data (clinical, genomics, proteomics). Preferred: experience with graph databases (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune), programming (RDF, linked data, NLP), and cloud/DevOps tools (Docker, CI/CD). High-value: oncology R&D, biomedical ontologies, knowledge graph development, semantic technologies, and interoperability. Location: on-site in Spring House PA (preferred), Cambridge MA, San Diego CA, or Titusville/Raritan NJ; <15% travel.
