Principal Data Scientist - Immunology - (2 positions)

Role: Principal Data Scientist (Knowledge Graph Engineer) focused on Immunology R&D at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. Objectives: develop scalable, interoperable knowledge graph infrastructure to connect biomedical and clinical data, standardize ontologies, and enable advanced analytics and AI-driven insights. Responsibilities: design and implement graph-based data models, curate ontologies (diseases, drugs, targets, pathways), develop data ingestion pipelines, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enable NLP/RAG, and oversee deployment of graph database infrastructure. Qualifications: PhD or master's in bioengineering, computer science, bioinformatics, or related fields; 5+ years in health informatics with expertise in large-scale knowledge graph construction, biomedical ontologies, semantic web technologies (SPARQL, RDF, OWL), and experience with biomedical datasets (clinical, genomics, proteomics). Skills: programming, data modeling, stakeholder management, experience with graph databases (Neo4j, Neptune), CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and DevOps.
