Role: Principal Data Scientist (Knowledge Graph Engineer) specializing in Immunology within Johnson & Johnson's R&D Data Science & Digital Health team. Objectives: develop scalable knowledge graph infrastructure to standardize and connect biomedical and clinical data, enhancing data interoperability and AI capabilities across Immunology R&D. Responsibilities: design and implement ontology-driven graph models; curate biomedical ontologies related to diseases, targets, drugs, and pathways; develop ingestion pipelines using semantic web technologies; collaborate with Data Science, Clinical, IT, and Discovery teams to enable NLP, AI, and predictive modeling; manage deployment, scalability, and documentation of the knowledge graph infrastructure. Requirements: Ph.D. or master's in bioengineering, computer science, bioinformatics, or related field; 5+ years of health informatics experience; expertise in semantic technologies (RDF, OWL, SPARQL), graph databases (Neo4j, Neptune), and biomedical datasets (clinical, genomics, proteomics). Preferred: experience with large-scale knowledge graphs, ontology development, linked data, and CI/CD tools; familiarity with biomedical standards and data modeling techniques.
