Role: Principal Data Scientist - Immunology, specializing in knowledge graph engineering within Johnson & Johnson's Immunology R&D Data Science & Digital Health team. Responsibilities: design and implement scalable biomedical knowledge graph infrastructure for Immunology, standardize and curate biomedical ontologies, develop data ingestion pipelines, and enable AI/ML applications like NLP and predictive modeling. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in R&D, IT, and Data Science to ensure data interoperability, high availability, and scalability. Qualifications: Ph.D. or Master's in bioengineering, computer science, bioinformatics, or related fields; 5+ years in health informatics, with proven experience in large-scale knowledge graphs, biomedical data integration, and semantic web technologies (RDF, OWL, SPARQL). Experience with biomedical datasets (clinical, genomics, proteomics), graph databases (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune), and programming skills in RDF, linked data, and data modeling are required. Preferred: familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD, and stakeholder management. High-value biopharma specifics include focus on Immunology R&D data, ontology curation, and AI-enabled data search and analysis. Work setup: On-site locations in Spring House PA, Cambridge MA, Titusville NJ, Raritan NJ, or San Diego CA; occasional travel (<15%).
