Role: Principal Data Scientist (Knowledge Graph Engineer) in Immunology within Johnson & Johnson's Innovative Medicine R&D Data Science & Digital Health team, focused on developing scalable, interoperable knowledge graph infrastructure for Immunology R&D data. Responsibilities: design and implement graph-based data models, curate ontologies aligned with biomedical standards, develop ingestion pipelines using semantic web technologies (SPARQL, RDF, OWL), extend immunology-specific ontologies, and partner with cross-functional teams to enable NLP, AI, and predictive modeling over the knowledge graph. Requirements: Ph.D. or master's in bioengineering, computer science, bioinformatics, or related fields; 5+ years experience in health informatics, knowledge graph construction, ontology development, biomedical data integration, and proficiency with semantic web tools, graph databases (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune), and programming (RDF, SPARQL, NLP). High-Value: expertise with biomedical datasets (clinical, genomics, proteomics), experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare domains, and familiarity with data storage solutions and DevOps tools. Location: On-site in Spring House PA, Cambridge MA, Titusville NJ, Raritan NJ, or San Diego CA; travel <15%. Responsibilities include collaboration with R&D teams for data standardization, enabling AI/ML applications, and maintaining documentation for data lineage and ontology curation.
