Position Summary:
Principal Scientist on a Commercial AI and Data Science team, working at the intersection of AI, data engineering, and commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced analytical and machine learning solutions to support commercial decision-making across disease areas/modalities.
- Build and enhance Next Best Action models (propensity scoring, HCP segmentation, recommendation engines).
- Develop patient and HCP analytics for targeting, activation, and reactivation.
- Apply causal inference and experimental methods to assess impact of marketing/field interventions.
- Develop and support production-grade AI decision support tools.
- Partner with data engineering/platform teams to ensure scalable, compliant, production-ready solutions in Snowflake and Databricks.
- Collaborate with commercial/marketing/field leadership to define requirements and solution roadmaps.
- Translate complex outputs into actionable insights for nontechnical stakeholders.
- Support launch readiness, postlaunch optimization, and ongoing performance management.
- Serve as a technical leader; set best practices; mentor junior data scientists.
- Promote responsible/ethical AI in line with governance standards.

Required Education and Experience
- PhD in a quantitative discipline or Master’s with significant relevant experience.
- Principal level: 5+ years hands-on data science; Senior Principal (AD) level: 8+ years with leadership/ownership of complex initiatives.
- Proven experience deploying analytical/ML solutions in production.
- Strong preference: healthcare/life sciences data experience (claims, EHR, commercial data).

Required Skills/Abilities
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Modern ML techniques and model lifecycle management.
- Experience with Snowflake/Databricks.
- Strong plus: productionizing LLM/AI applications (e.g., RAG, agentic workflows).
- Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication; influence cross-functionally.

Pay Range: $152,000–$228,000 (eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards).
