Principal Data Engineer – Safety Analytics (Global Medical Safety)

Role: Principal Data Engineer supporting Global Medical Safety within Johnson & Johnson's Innovative Medicine division. Focused on building and maintaining advanced safety analytics tools using AI, Machine Learning, and GenAI on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Responsibilities: lead end-to-end data architecture for safety data, design and optimize scalable data pipelines, ensure data quality, governance, and compliance including GxP validation; develop APIs and microservices for safety analytics; implement infrastructure via Terraform, and establish CI/CD pipelines. Serve as a technical leader collaborating with safety scientists, data scientists, and IT teams to enable predictive pharmacovigilance capabilities. Requirements: Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; 5+ years in data/analytics engineering; proficiency in Python, SQL; experience with cloud-based data architecture, APIs, microservices, and GCP preferred. Qualifications: deep understanding of data modeling, validation, governance, and GxP compliance; experience in regulated healthcare domains and AI/ML workflows including GenAI is advantageous.
