Principal Crop Physiology Scientist

Role: Principal Crop Physiology Scientist leading the development of improved seed products through integration of crop physiology, genomics, and data analytics. Responsibilities: define crop physiology strategies to inform breeding goals, leverage model outputs for trait improvement, foster cross-functional collaborations globally, ensure knowledge transfer, identify new technology opportunities, and mentor talent. Qualifications: PhD in Quantitative Genetics, Plant Breeding, Crop Physiology, or Data Science with at least 6 years of relevant experience (or MS with 10+ years); expertise in quantitative genetics, biostatistics, functional genomics; proficiency in R, Python; proven leadership in cross-functional teams; experience managing large biological data sets and implementing innovative breeding techniques. High-Value: focus on breeding programs, genetics, and applied data science in crop science; leadership in Precision Breeding initiatives across North America, LATAM, EMEA, APAC; emphasis on sustainable seed product development for global agriculture; working within a collaborative, innovative culture.
