(*in collaboration with AbbVie) About the Role: The Principal, Commercial IT Business Systems â Veeva Vault is responsible for supporting the configuration, enhancement, and ongoing optimization across Neurocrineâs Commercial Veeva ecosystem. This role serves as the senior technical bridge between internal Veeva administrators and external managed services partners. The primary objective is to strengthen advanced configuration capability in-house, retain critical business and system knowledge internally, and reduce reliance on vendor advisory support for complex design decisions. Anchored in Veeva Vault and broader Veeva commercial platforms, this role applies technical and functional knowledge to execute system configurations and support cross-functional initiatives. This role will contribute to continuous improvement of system capabilities and processes within the Commercial domain. This role is focused on execution, problem-solving and developing subject matter expertise within the Commercial domain. _ Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to): Apply strong working knowledge for Veeva commercial platforms, including Veeva Vault and related commercial applications Perform advanced configuration beyond standard business-admin scope Configure workflows, security models, objects, lifecycle states, and system enhancements Support and optimize Vault CRM, PromoMats, MedComms, and related Veeva platforms Lead configuration workstreams for system enhancements to support business needs Collaborate with internal teams and managed service partners Review vendor deliverables and provide feedback to ensure alignment with requirements. Contribute to defining requirements and improving clarity prior to vendor engagement. Support documentation of configurations and system changes Develop strong understanding of commercial business processes supported by Veeva platforms Assess cross-system impact of configuration changes Contribute to documentation of system configurations, processes and integration points. Provide input and recommendations on system solutions within scope Partner with Commercial Data Management and MDM teams Collaborate with IT Data Solutions on integration considerations Support alignment of Veeva configurations with commercial data standards Requirements: 5+ years of experience supporting Veeva CRM and commercial IT systems within a life sciences environment Experience supporting Vault applications (PromoMats, MedComms) Experience with Veeva Network (MDM) Familiarity with commercial data environments and enterprise data integration Experience working alongside managed services partners Strong consultative and communication skills Communicates moderately complex concepts and system solutions to stakeholders Manages multiple priorities and deadlines across projects Strong hands-on experience with: Veeva CRM configuration and administration SaaS platform configuration (objects, workflows, security models) Demonstrated experience performing advanced configuration beyond standard administrative tasks Working knowledge of integration patterns and cross-system dependencies Applies knowledge of best practices within the functional discipline and related areas Demonstrates developing expertise in Commercial IT systems and processes Acts as a go-to resource within the team for Veeva-related configuration and support Communicates moderately complex concepts and system solutions to stakeholders Manages multiple priorities and deadlines across projects Neurocrine Biosciences is an EEO/Disability/Vets employer. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program.
