Principal Business Analyst, SAP Order-to-Cash (OTC)

Role Summary

The Principal Business Analyst, SAP Order-to-Cash (OTC) will partner with the Core IT team and business users to support and enhance SAP OTC processes, participate in software product evaluations, project planning, application integrations, implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and support of the SAP platform. This role focuses on SAP OTC Pricing, Rebates and Billing including integration to 3rd party systems (ModelN and BillTrust). The candidate is expected to perform high-quality project and support work for stakeholders and foster SAP capability within the organization. This position is based in Massachusetts and requires on-site presence three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Work with business users on incidents and enhancement requests.
• Document functional designs, test cases and results.
• Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements.
• Act as a liaison between the business functions and the technical team.
• Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required.
• Work independently and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, while collaborating with others.
• Assess the impact of emerging SAP technologies against strategic business needs and interpret business value for IT management.
• Develop productive relationships across the organization to influence how SAP applications create value.
• Execute methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) for application lifecycle management and continuous improvement.
• Update and maintain SAP/WRICEF functional documentation.
• Conduct unit, integration, and regression tests as needed for enhancements and projects.
• Maintain knowledge of Life Sciences guidelines (e.g., GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11).
• Communicate effectively and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure good development and documentation practices are followed.
• Prioritize effectively in response to changing demands.
• Assist in training and knowledge sharing with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as an SAP SD/OTC Business Analyst with Life Sciences focus.
• Expertise in Pricing and Billing; experience with Model N is preferred.
• Life Sciences industry experience; S4 HANA experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and process improvement methodologies.
• Experience in requirements management and controlling project scope.
• Excellent oral and written communication for detailing requirements and solutions.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities; experience with process modeling and improvement.
• Understanding of web technologies; SAP knowledge and web application servers a plus.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/medical device industries is a major plus.
• Ability to rapidly learn new concepts, business models, and technologies.
• Agile methodology knowledge is a plus.
