Position Overview:
- Highly motivated scientist with knowledge and experience of cellular and molecular biology. Independently design, develop, and validate biological assays to test and analyze molecule activities; investigate mechanisms of action; evaluate performance in animal disease models; deliver preclinical evidence for future clinical testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- With minimal guidance, independently develop preclinical translational models (in vitro, ex vivo, in vivo) of skin and/or hair disorders using state-of-the-art methodologies.
- Evaluate therapeutic candidates in preclinical models for evidence of potential efficacy to advance to future clinical testing.
- Independently analyze, interpret, and present experimental data.
- Adhere to good research practices and maintain laboratory e-notebooks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. (5β8 years experience) or M.S. (3β5 years experience) in biology, molecular and cellular immunology, or related biological area.
- Experience in an academic institute or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Legally authorized to be employed in the United States (no sponsorship anticipated for H-1B or TN).
Additional Preferences:
- Extensive skin and hair biology experience, especially with 3D skin/hair models.
- In vivo skin quality and hair growth model experience.
- Familiarity with histology/IF, transcriptomics, proteomics, and flow cytometry.
