Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with knowledge and experience of cellular and molecular biology. Independently design, develop, and validate biological assays to test and analyze molecule activities, investigate mechanism of action, evaluate performance in animal disease models, and deliver preclinical evidence for future clinical testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- With minimal guidance, independently develop preclinical (in vitro, ex vivo, in vivo) translational models of various skin and/or hair disorders using state-of-the-art methodologies
- Evaluate therapeutic candidates in preclinical models for evidence of potential efficacy to advance for future clinical testing
- Independently analyze, interpret, and present experimental data
- Adhere to good research practices and maintain laboratory e-notebooks
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. (5β8 years) or M.S. (3β5 years) in biology, molecular and cellular immunology, or a related biological area
- Experience in an academic institute or pharmaceutical industry preferred
- Legally authorized to be employed in the United States (no anticipated visa sponsorship)
Additional Preferences:
- Extensive skin and hair biology research experience, particularly with 3D skin/hair models
- Experience with in vivo skin quality and hair growth models
- Familiarity with histology/IF, transcriptomics, proteomics, and flow cytometry methods
Benefits/Compensation (as stated):
- Anticipated wage: $71,250 - $187,000
- Eligible for a company bonus (depending on company and individual performance)
