What Youβll Do:
- Design, develop, and implement complex end-to-end data pipelines; engineer features and forecasting models on the intersection of health systems utilization and clinical research.
- Integrate real-world data sources to build epidemiological and disease forecasting models supporting clinical trial operations decision-making.
- Use operations research methods (constraints-based optimization, linear/non-linear programming, simulation, network modeling) to understand participant, investigator, and sponsor behaviors driving risk/benefit/uncertainty in trial outcomes.
- Generate evidence and communicate results (conferences, peer-reviewed publications) across therapeutic area, sensor science, machine learning, and operations research.
- Support integration, design, and development of novel measures/models/metrics to assess model validity and performance across the model lifecycle.
Who You Are:
- Interested in creating mathematical/statistical models connecting human biology, clinical development, and sensor technology to business outcomes and patient needs.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years Pharma/Biotech/Tech/Healthcare industry experience (or extensive academic/clinical center of excellence experience).
- Expertise leveraging electronic health records and clinical-care-derived data using state-of-the-art methods and tools.
- Experience with machine learning/operations research and data science using formal software development lifecycle best practices.
- Proficiency in Python/R and libraries/tools including numpy, pandas, scipy, statsmodels, scikit-learn, Google OR Tools, TensorFlow/PyTorch, pyspark, tidyverse/sparklyr, mlr, tidymodels (or similar).
- Familiarity with simulation/forecasting models and communicating/improving models with end-user feedback.
Preferred Skills:
- Communicate/build consensus on technical or sensitive information.
- Experience with UI/UX patterns, data visualization, and front-end interactions.
- Formal empirical science methods (statistical modeling, design of experiments, hypothesis testing).
- Advanced degree in public health/epidemiology/public health economics/operations research or similar.
