General Summary
Vertex seeks a Principal Analyst, CGT Agentic Solutions to design and implement AI-enabled and agentic technologies across Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT).
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Design and support agentic and AI-enabled solutions for CGT use cases across commercial, development, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain
- Translate needs into solution designs, system requirements, integration patterns, and implementation plans
- Partner with software, data, architecture, and product teams to deliver scalable and secure digital solutions
- Define/evaluate agent workflows, orchestration logic, prompt patterns, tool usage, and knowledge retrieval approaches
- Develop solutions using large language models, RAG, workflow automation, APIs, and enterprise data services
- Analyze systems/data flows to identify opportunities for automation and modernization
- Support data pipelines and integration frameworks for agentic platforms
- Ensure security, privacy, validation, and compliance in a regulated environment
- Establish technical standards, performance measures, and operational monitoring
- Evaluate emerging AI/cloud/automation technologies and recommend practical applications
- Support production readiness, testing strategy, release planning, and continuous improvement
- Serve as technical lead/SME for agentic solution capabilities
Knowledge And Skills / Technical Skills Required
- Hands-on AI/ML or intelligent automation experience
- Architecture/API/data-flow and workflow automation pattern experience
- Understanding of LLMs, agentic systems, and orchestration
- Agile/product-based delivery collaboration
- Compliance, security, data governance, and validation familiarity
- LLM solution design; agentic workflows/orchestration; API/service architecture; data modeling/integration patterns
- SQL/data analysis; Python/SQL (or similar)
- RAG/vector search/knowledge retrieval/document grounding
- Experience with Azure, Databricks, Power BI, Jira, Confluence, Git (or similar)
- SDLC/Agile testing/release management; technical documentation and troubleshooting
Preferred Skills
- Advanced technical/scientific degree
- CGT/biopharma manufacturing/quality/lab experience
- Conversational AI/agent frameworks/enterprise copilots/generative AI platforms
- GxP systems, CSV, validation, regulated deployment
- Cloud-native/data pipelines/MLOps
- Technical lead across workstreams
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (CS, Data Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Information Systems, or equivalent)
- 5+ years delivering technical solutions/systems analysis/software/platform implementation in regulated industries
Pay Range
- $142,800 - $214,200 (eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards)
