The Position
This position is responsible for monitoring and assessing ongoing healthcare reform changes, PhRMA and industry responses, and state-level transparency initiatives. Includes proactively identifying risk, performing financial modeling, providing findings and key insights to leadership, and supporting strategy development.
Essential Functions
- Evaluate healthcare reform/legislative changes from financial and strategic perspectives
- Partner with PA β Policy to stay up to date on federal policy changes and guide prioritization/recommendations on legislative changes
- Partner with legal/compliance to stay up to date on state-level policy changes
- Understand legislative/regulatory mandates impacting pharmaceutical net price evolution and federal market access
- Drive organizational awareness of political environment and financial risk
- Assist with pricing/policy analysis for investor relations questions and investor roadshows
- Collaborate with government pricing team on inputs for government calculation impacts (e.g., URA, 340B)
- Analyze impact on ARP/profitability and guide key stakeholders
- Partner with Strategy & Innovation on pricing analytics/insights for strategy and future outlook
- Own analysis for Risk Report and investor relations document
- Lead workgroups with legal & compliance
- Develop scenario impact models and senior management presentations (e.g., StC, Pricing Committee)
- Support legal on congressional inquiries and related requests
- Support tool/method development to improve customer profitability assessment and decision-making
- Provide ad hoc analyses as required
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years progressively responsible relevant experience (pricing, contracting, forecasting, consulting, portfolio analysis, policy analytics, and/or finance/reporting); 2+ years in pharmaceutical industry preferred
- Strong analytical skills; ability to present clearly and confidently
- Demonstrated leadership; ability to function in project leadership and manage multiple internal relationships
- Attention to detail; ability to resolve data problems
- Advanced proficiency: Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word
Skills/Preferences
- Experience in a global matrix environment; foundational understanding of ex-US market access and pricing frameworks is a plus
Travel
- 0β10% overnight travel required.
Benefits/Compensation (as stated)
- Base compensation range: $99,600 to $184,200; eligible for company bonus
- Eligible for long-term incentive and/or company vehicles (level-dependent)
