Position Summary
The Precision Oncology Program Manager (POP) implements high-visibility, transformative precision oncology projects for national/strategic accounts, providing strategic insights on operations and technical enhancements. Deploys point-of-care solutions and data management strategies to optimize/customize precision oncology programs. Executes projects through completion (e.g., onboarding plans, utilization monitoring, and project closure) and coordinates simultaneous efforts with cross-functional teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead EHR integration and point-of-care solutions for priority accounts; build workflow-fit solutions while meeting compliant ordering requirements; oversee onboarding and post-integration monitoring; handle PHI appropriately for clinical-facing solution implementation/testing.
- Deliver molecular data feeds to clients after negotiated delivery terms; may evaluate data use cases, visualization platforms, and storage capacity; data may include PHI.
- Drive molecular oncology operational initiatives that improve precision oncology care (e.g., Molecular Tumor Board operations, co-branding initiatives).
- Engage stakeholders at client organizations to develop relationships supporting technology, data, and operational projects; provide high-level customer service.
- Facilitate application integration discussions/partnerships with third-party systems to optimize client experience; create justification material for collaborations; plan integrations and coordinate internal resources.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree and at least 2 years of precision medicine or healthcare project management experience.
- Proven experience delivering presentations and coordinating with high-level health system leadership.
- Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Zoom, Teams (and ability to learn additional tools).
- Experience in at least one: oncology care, precision medicine, molecular oncology, hospital administration.
- Excellent verbal/written communication; experience with virtual meeting platforms.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated focus on understanding client needs, exceeding service/quality expectations, and following up.
- Strong understanding of oncology provider needs and how solutions meet those needs.
- Trained/experienced in appropriate handling of PHI in line with HIPAA and internal compliance.
- Ability to coordinate multiple integration projects simultaneously.
- Major advantage: experience with molecular testing companies/medical technology platforms or knowledge of oncology biomarkers and drug response.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Masterβs or advanced medical certification) or significant precision medicine experience.
- Experience with informatics/data projects related to molecular results.
- Project management certification/experience (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP).
- Experience with EHR integrations and other oncology clinical solutions.
- Preferred: health system leadership in research admin, bioinformatics, informatics, or precision medicine.
- Strong understanding of health system processes/workflows and compliance/hospital administration.
- Advanced knowledge of integration strategies for key EHR platforms (e.g., Epic Aura, OncoEMR Molecular Profiling Integration).
- Experience delegating internal resources for EHR/data projects; ability to manage resources beyond direct reports.
- Experience with healthcare quality improvement projects related to molecular oncology care.
- Ability to solve problems under pressure and clearly communicate solutions.
- Ability to learn and apply proprietary Caris software.
- Ability to receive/respond to feedback for improvement.
- Desirable: EHR experience; clinical or translational research; project/program management; leadership/management skills.
