Role Summary
The Poultry Technical Services Veterinarian is part of the Sales team, based in the US with a remote site in Teaneck, NJ. The role drives demand for Phibro products by providing expert technical support to poultry customers (broiler, layer, and turkey) and solving production issues for key influencers across the industry. The position involves collaboration with account teams, field and research trials, and frequent travel to meet customers and represent Phibro at industry events.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Phibro Sales Team as part of key account teams to advance revenue and earnings by providing timely, expert, technical information regarding the efficacy and value of Phibro products.
- Assist in transforming the creation of solutions and customer value.
- Design vaccine, medicated feed additive and nutritional specialty programs with customers to maximize performance of Phibro products.
- Provide the global marketing team with accurate, credible, and current technical information to support commercial objectives.
- Assist poultry producers in the technical evaluation of production issues and provide logical solutions.
- Develop, lead, and execute field or research trials to promote the PAHC product lines.
- Interact with industry decision makers, influencers, and academic leaders in support of Phibro products.
- Attend trade shows, academic conferences, and state poultry association meetings to build relationships and stay informed on industry issues.
- Keep management updated on current industry issues and trends.
- Travel approximately 50% of the time.
Qualifications
- Required: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited university.
- Required: Must hold a valid US veterinary license.
- Required: Experience in the broiler, layer and turkey segments or a combination thereof in the US poultry industry (minimum 3–5 years).
- Preferred: Post-graduate or advanced training and/or experience in poultry health.
Skills
- Expert command of poultry health with in-depth understanding of poultry production, husbandry, and processing.
- Ability to design and manage meaningful field trials.
- Strong understanding of current trends and issues in poultry health.
- Proficiency with MS Office and industry software (e.g., LIMS, Adobe).
Education
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
