Postdoctoral Scientist – Synthetic & Medicinal Chemistry

Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and execute new synthetic methodologies to screen/optimize reactions.
- Purify starting materials, intermediates, and final compounds (flash chromatography, crystallization, preparative HPLC).
- Characterize materials and products using NMR, HPLC, LC–MS, and related methods.
- Apply/develop single-electron chemistry approaches (photochemistry and/or electrochemistry).
- Conduct chemical development using continuous (flow) processing, automated/high-throughput screening, and computational chemistry.
- Build/maintain/troubleshoot lab instrumentation; provide engineering insight for experimental design and scale-up.
- Review assay/analytical data, communicate results, and discuss project impact.
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present at team/scientific meetings.
- Uphold lab safety and maintain accurate lab records.

Basic Qualifications:
- PhD in synthetic chemistry, organic chemistry, chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or closely related field.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; employer does not sponsor visas.

Required Skills:
- Strong modern synthetic and/or medicinal chemistry bench experience.
- Proficiency with NMR, HPLC, and LC–MS; purification techniques.

Strongly Preferred:
- Single-electron chemistry experience (photochemistry/electrochemistry).
- Engineering skills for continuous/flow, scale-up, process development, and automated/instrumented systems.

Benefits/Compensation (if applicable):
- Anticipated base wage: $58,000–$123,200; eligible for company bonus and comprehensive benefits (401(k), pension, medical/dental/vision, life insurance, time off, wellness).
