Job Title: Postdoctoral Scientist β€” Neurodegeneration

Responsibilities:
- Establish seed and preformed fibril (PFF)-based pathology models in a human iPSC-derived tri-culture system (neurons, astrocytes, microglia) for multiple amyloid forming proteins; characterize seeding efficiency, aggregate formation, and timing.
- Compare mono-, co-, and tri-culture configurations to quantify multicellular gain in neurotoxicity and neuroinflammatory responses.
- Characterize microglial activation and cytokine release profiles (multiplex MSD cytokine profiling) and neurotoxicity in response to pathological insults.
- Conduct a species-ranking study comparing monomers, oligomers, and fibrillar aggregate forms for neurotoxic and neuroinflammatory potency.
- Evaluate tool compounds (siRNAs, antibodies) and internal proprietary compounds for potency, cellular uptake, and safety in healthy vs. pathological tri-culture.
- Generate paired healthy vs. disease-context datasets to compare compound behavior and support LRL neurodegeneration programs.
- Publish as first author and present findings at internal/external forums.

Basic Requirements:
- PhD in Neuroscience, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or closely related field.
- Hands-on iPSC culture and/or primary neuron culture experience.
- Experience in vitro neurodegenerative disease modeling (PFF seeding, protein aggregation assays, amyloid forming protein biology).
- Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; no visa sponsorship.

Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Neuronal co- or tri-culture with glia (astrocytes and/or microglia).
- High-content imaging, immunofluorescence (ICC-IF), and image analysis.
- Neuroinflammation assays with multiplex cytokine profiling (e.g., MSD, Luminex).
- CNS modality assessment in cell-based assays (siRNAs, antibodies, small molecules).
- Ability to design, execute, troubleshoot multi-parametric cell-based experiments.
- Peer-reviewed publications; collaborative and translational industry mindset.

Benefits/Compensation (as stated):
- Anticipated wage: $58,000–$123,200; full-time employees eligible for company bonus (and comprehensive benefits including 401(k), medical/dental/vision, flexible benefits, life insurance, time off/leave, well-being benefits).
