Purpose of the Job
Hands-on, fixed-term postdoctoral position developing, implementing, and applying LC-MS–based proteomics and phosphoproteomics workflows to support biomarker research and mechanistic characterization of metabolic disease biology.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and validate LC-MS–based proteomics/phosphoproteomics workflows on high-resolution MS, including sample preparation; peptide and phosphopeptide enrichment (e.g., TiO₂, IMAC); and DIA methods optimized for preclinical samples. Establish robust, reproducible analytical pipelines.
- Implement global (bottom-up) proteomics/phosphoproteomics on preclinical samples with high data quality, reproducibility, and appropriate QC. Maintain instrument readiness via routine care, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Process/analyze/interpret multi-dimensional datasets; apply statistical methods; create visualizations to identify pathway/mechanistic signals; translate findings into actionable conclusions.
- Maintain meticulous experimental records and electronic lab notebook entries; ensure traceability, data integrity, and compliance with protocols; document methods, QA/QC, and SOPs.
- Collaborate across cross-functional/cross-site teams; communicate via presentations, written summaries, and peer-reviewed publications.
- Drive standardization/automation/process improvement; evaluate/adopt new methodologies and tools, including AI tools.

Basic Requirements
- PhD in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or related life sciences (recently completed or nearing completion).
- Hands-on LC-MS/MS–based proteomics and/or phosphoproteomics assay development/implementation.
- Authorized to work in the United States full-time; company will not sponsor visas.

Additional Skills/Preferences
- High-resolution MS and DIA experience; phosphopeptide enrichment (TiO₂, IMAC).
- Proximity-labeling proteomics experience (e.g., TurboID/BioID) or strong interest.
- Proteomics informatics/statistics/visualization tools (e.g., Spectronaut, DIA-NN, MaxQuant, Perseus; GraphPad Prism, JMP, R/Python).
- Preclinical/tissue MS sample prep; orthogonal validation (e.g., Olink, immunoassays); metabolic/cardiometabolic disease interest; automation/liquid-handling experience.

Benefits/Compensation (as stated)
- Anticipated wage: $87,000.
- Eligible for company bonus; comprehensive benefits including 401(k), pension, vacation, medical/dental/vision/prescription, flexible benefits, life insurance, time-off/leave, and well-being benefits.
