Role: Postdoctoral Scientist specializing in LC-MS–based proteomics within Cardiometabolic Research at Lilly, supporting biomarker discovery and mechanistic studies in metabolic disease biology. Responsibilities: develop and validate quantitative proteomics and phosphoproteomics workflows on high-resolution mass spectrometry platforms, optimize sample prep including phosphopeptide enrichment, and implement data-independent acquisition methods. Execute analysis of preclinical samples, interpret large datasets to identify pathway signals, and communicate findings through publications and presentations. Maintain rigorous experimental documentation and collaborate across teams to enhance analytical capabilities and adopt new methodologies. Requirements: PhD in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related life sciences; hands-on expertise in LC-MS/MS proteomics, especially high-resolution DIA methods and phosphopeptide enrichment. Additional skills include proteomics data analysis (Spectronaut, DIA-NN, MaxQuant), familiarity with orthogonal platforms, and interest in metabolic diseases. Preferred: experience with proximity-labeling proteomics, automation, and bioinformatics tools. HighValue: expertise in preclinical metabolic disease models, biomarker science, and translational research with mass spectrometry. Work setup: not specified; focus on lab-based, collaborative scientific research.
