Role: Postdoctoral Biophysical Chemist supporting Lilly's Early Molecule Discovery team, focusing on small molecule drug development. Responsibilities: perform biomolecular NMR experiments, integrate experimental data with quantum mechanics, molecular dynamics, and free energy calculations; develop AI and neural networks for structural analysis; automate workflows; stay current with computational drug discovery methods; collaborate with discovery scientists to advance portfolio molecules from leads to candidates. Requirements: Ph.D. in Biophysical Chemistry, Biophysics, Computational Chemistry, or related field; expertise in biomolecular NMR, protein structure/dynamics; experience integrating experimental and computational data; authorized to work in the US. Preferred: experience with generative AI, neural networks, molecular dynamics, quantum and free energy methods; proficiency in Python; HPC/Cloud experience; structural biology data integration; excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills. High-Value: focus on small molecules, structure-based drug design, computational modeling, AI/ML, in support of early drug discovery. WorkSetup: onsite in Indianapolis, IN; fixed-term up to 2 years.
