Role: Postdoctoral Scientist focusing on translational pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and investigative toxicology within Johnson & Johnson's Innovative Medicine division. Primary objectives include elucidating oral bioavailability barriers of proximity‑inducing therapeutics like PROTACs, molecular glues, and RIPTACs, through development of innovative in vitro intestinal models and formulation strategies. Responsibilities encompass designing and evaluating translatable permeability models, integrating experimental and computational data to identify molecular determinants of tissue permeability, and contributing to the strategic ADME characterization of these modalities. The role involves data interpretation, reporting, and dissemination through publications and conferences. Qualifications: PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, or related field; proven independent research skills; peer-reviewed output or patents; strong communication abilities; and expertise in in vitro ADME techniques. Preferred skills include experience with PROTACs, DMPK, analytical techniques (LC-MS/MS, HPLC/UPLC), PBPK modeling, and cell culture. The position offers a two-year project with possible extension, based in La Jolla, CA, with a focus on innovative, mechanistic understanding to guide rational drug design. High-value biopharma specifics: focus on proximity‑inducing modalities, oral bioavailability, intestinal models, and in silico platform development, aimed at advancing targeted protein degradation therapies.
