Role: Postdoctoral Research Scientist focusing on receptor-mediated AAV capsid engineering within Lilly's Biotechnology Discovery Research. Objectives: develop receptor-targeted AAV vectors to enhance gene delivery, reduce dosage, and improve safety; generate high-impact publications. Responsibilities: design, produce, and purify engineered AAV vectors; perform quality control, cell-binding/trafficking assays, and mechanistic studies; analyze structure-activity relationships; document experiments; present findings. Qualifications: PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or Virology; proficiency in mammalian cell culture, DNA manipulation, and nucleic acid analysis; authorization to work in the U.S. Required experience with viral vector systems and cellular trafficking; preferred skills include confocal microscopy, protein engineering, primary cell culture, flow cytometry, and independent project management. High-Value: AAV vector engineering, receptor-mediated transduction mechanisms, gene therapy, mechanistic virology, research in a translational biotech setting.
