Role Summary

Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Discovery Oncology – Join the Discovery Oncology team in the company's research lab at the South San Francisco, CA facility. The role focuses on identifying the regulation of biological function of an exploratory tumor-associated antigen. The candidate should have strong technical skills in experimental design, execution, analysis, troubleshooting, and be able to work independently with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to identify regulation of biological function of an exploratory tumor-associated antigen.
  • Plan, execute, analyze, and troubleshoot experiments related to immuno-oncology and tumor models.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and documents to communicate findings.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Genetics, or related discipline (within 6 months of hire).
  • Strong knowledge in immuno-oncology.
  • Experience with in vivo murine tumor models and ex vivo immune cell isolation/characterization.
  • Diverse lab experience including molecular biology, flow cytometry, and/or immunological assays (e.g., ELISA, WB).
  • Competence with data analysis and reporting tools (GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to independently plan, recommend, and complete research programs; manage multiple projects.
  • Effective creator of executive-level presentations and documents.
  • Preferred: Mammalian cell culture, cell line engineering (CRISPR, reporter cell generation), and cell-based assays; knowledge of gene regulation in mammalian systems.
