Position Overview:
- Postdoctoral Fellow (immunology, autoimmunity or oncology) to contribute to R&D across the immunology portfolio; participate in end-to-end product development including early discovery, nonclinical safety/pharmacology, cGMP manufacturing, and clinical evaluation. Based at the Tonix Research and Development Center (RDC) in Frederick, Maryland. Reports to the Director of Immunology.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent and original research supporting the Tonix portfolio/RDC mission.
- Develop novel methods and assays; establish in-vitro and in-vivo models to evaluate immunotherapeutics (e.g., oncology, autoimmunology).
- Collect, analyze, and evaluate data; interpret results, decide next steps, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Prepare scientific presentations, reports, manuscripts, and grant proposals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design, optimize, and standardize novel in-house assays.
- Lead cell-based, molecular, and biochemical assay work; ensure rigorous data analysis.
- Characterize binding properties (e.g., Octet, high-content imaging, reporter-based assays).
- Perform antibody/protein engineering (including affinity maturation).
- Lead/participate in cross-functional teams; integrate inputs to build strategic R&D plans; uphold accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, teamwork.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. (or equivalent doctoral degree).
- Strong independent, high-quality research record in relevant areas (viral vectors as vaccines; antibody/protein design and discovery).
- Ability to generate/test hypotheses and design new studies.
- Experience with cutting-edge drug screening techniques (high-content imaging, microscopy, cell-based screening).
- Experience in industry/biological context; data interrogation with computational/bioinformatics tools (a plus).
- Excellent written/verbal communication; strong planning/organization; comfortable working independently; minimal travel.
