What You Will Achieve
- Conduct research and development activities to support discovery and development of new therapies.
- Develop and apply foundational AI models for analysis and classification of whole slide images.
- Present research work at internal/external meetings and publish in high-impact journals.
- Contribute to the design and analysis of pathology images.
- Collaborate with Pathologists, Laboratory Scientists, and Computational Scientists.
- Represent Pfizer at scientific conferences by presenting research data.
- Build team skills and a culture of scientific excellence and continuous learning.
- Make decisions using technical knowledge under supervision.

Minimum Qualifications (must Have)
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field with 0–2 years work experience.
- Less than 2 years post-degree experience.
- Willingness to make a minimum 2-year commitment.
- Scientific accomplishments evidenced by publications/presentations, including at least one first-author peer-reviewed journal/conference proceeding.
- Two letters of recommendation required prior to interview stage.
- Expertise developing/deploying minimally supervised or unsupervised AI models for classification of pathology whole slide images (H&E) from nonclinical species.
- Deep expertise in Python and version control.
- Comfort working in Unix and Windows.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Bonus Points (Preferred)
- Proficiency in data analysis software/tools.
- Experience with common AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot).
- Experience with vision transformers, foundational models, transfer learning, or zero-shot/few-shot learning.
- Experience with software life cycle management.

- Base salary range: $64,600.00–$107,600.00; bonus target 7.5% (Global Performance Plan).
