What You Will Do
- Participate in a 2-year early research training program with a small group of researchers at the Thousand Oaks site.
- Receive research training opportunities, practical experience, publication opportunities, and professional upskilling.
- Be assigned to a dedicated supervisory mentor and gain access to cutting-edge technologies.
- Contribute to Amgen’s research strategy, including publishing, collaborating, and networking with cross-functional colleagues.
What We Expect Of You
Basic Qualifications:
- Recent college graduate with a major in a relevant scientific area (biological sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, bioengineering, computational sciences, or other STEM fields).
- Strong desire to pursue a PhD or MD/PhD in STEM fields.
- Not currently enrolled in PhD, MS, Pharm D, or MD programs.
- Eligible to work in the US and commit to a 2-year program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Undergraduate studies completed within 2 years prior to program entry.
- Practical research experience in a lab setting (e.g., summer internships).
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Passion for exploring the unknown and making discoveries in biology.
Benefits (explicit)
- Expected annualized salary (U.S., excluding Puerto Rico): $46,000.
