Health Outcomes Post-Doctoral Program (HEOR Oncology, Medical Affairs)

Responsibilities:
- Create health outcomes research for patients, payers, and providers.
- Develop research strategies with experienced health outcomes scientists to clarify when/how medicines are used and expected patient benefits.
- Conduct, ensure quality, and maintain integrity of health outcomes studies.
- Demonstrate understanding of clinical, economic, and/or patient-reported outcomes methodologies.
- Communicate study findings to internal audiences and lead dissemination to the scientific community.
- Work extensively with therapeutic area medical/commercial teams and HEOR colleagues.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:
- Support the Lilly portfolio (Cardiometabolic health, Oncology, Immunology, Pain/Neuroscience); role sits within oncology with cross-functional exposure based on interests.
- Use and advance knowledge of:
- Real-world evidence (RWE) via retrospective/prospective observational studies
- Patient-focused outcomes (PFO) used in randomized clinical trials
- Economic modeling; potentially participate in health technology assessment submissions
- Assist in developing RWE, PFO, and economic research studies for publication.
- Build knowledge of health care systems in applicable geographies globally.
- Develop understanding and experience in clinical trials research.
- Develop skills in environmental awareness, strategy, study development, project management, and organizational leadership.

Basic Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Master’s, Ph.D., or MD) in a relevant discipline (e.g., economics, epidemiology, health services, pharmacoeconomics, psychology, statistics, or other relevant sciences).
- Authorization to work in the United States full-time; Lilly does not sponsor work authorization/visas (listed examples include F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT, J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, L-1).

Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Fixed-duration, non-permanent role for 2 years; may rotate through multiple therapeutic areas (Diabetes, Oncology, Immunology, Pain/Neuroscience).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment.
- Some domestic travel anticipated.
- Technical/analytic capabilities in areas such as economic modeling/evaluation, cost-effectiveness, burden of disease, epidemiology, statistics, and health care policy.
- Ability to influence individuals.
- Demonstrated project management skills.

Compensation (as stated):
- Anticipated wage: $58,000 - $123,200.
