Primary objectives include designing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimizing industrial automation equipment to ensure reliable operation and process efficiency. Responsibilities encompass developing PLC and HMI programs, configuring industrial networks, supporting system upgrades, and conducting field installations and troubleshooting. The role involves process data analysis for continuous improvement, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and providing customer technical support and training. It requires extensive travel (up to 50%) for site commissioning and service activities. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering (or 15+ years of relevant experience), 3–8 years in process control, experience with PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), industrial communication protocols, and a valid U.S. driver’s license. Preferred skills include experience in food processing, poultry, pharmaceutical sectors, and certifications such as CAP or PE. The position demands physical ability to work in industrial environments and supports a mix of office and field work, often in hot, humid, or noisy settings.
