Role Summary

Plant Electrician role in Saratoga. Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday, 8:00 a.m.โ€“4:30 p.m. You will be responsible for start-up, normal operation, monitoring and shutdown of all electrical systems and emergency generator equipment; troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair of all facilities electrical equipment. You will maintain the siteโ€™s electrical distribution systems in electrical code compliance to ensure continuous manufacturing of products.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining electrical power systems and stand-by power generation equipment, as well as accurate electrical one-line drawings.
  • Maintaining an inventory of essential fuses and circuit breakers.
  • Directing outside service providers to provide and install electrical work and PMs.
  • Assisting Mechanical Technicians on facility or process equipment electrical issues.
  • Installing lighting, electrical and computer wiring when appropriate.
  • Scheduling work and maintaining all preventative maintenance for on-site emergency generators utilizing contracted services.
  • Scheduling and maintaining documentation on infrared scans for all electrical enclosures.
  • Developing, establishing and conducting annual employee training classes on electrical safety procedures and practices.
  • May involve working off-shift to support 24/7 coverage.

Qualifications

  • Electrician I: 0+ years or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Electrician II: 2+ years or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Electrician III: 5+ years or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with high voltage beneficial

Skills

  • Proficient with electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints
  • Ability to work independently in a constantly evolving collaborative environment
  • Self-starter with a resilient, can-do demeanor
  • Enjoy working in the field as well as at a desk, processing documentation and correspondence
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing while providing outstanding customer service
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with contacts inside and outside of the organization at all levels
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel

Education

  • AAS in Engineering or Construction Technologies
