Role Summary

Planning and Scheduling Specialist based in Framingham, MA. Leads asset management, PM program, and planning and scheduling of preventive and unscheduled maintenance activities within a cGMP environment, contributing to continuous improvement and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan and schedule work orders, preventive maintenance activities, material lists and asset management.
  • Receives all work orders from requesting departments and end-users. Assesses requests and determines response time and planning level based on priority.
  • Adapts to changing production needs and prioritizes work among conflicting schedules.
  • Develops maintenance work packages by evaluating work orders for permits, notices, steps, parts, tools, labor, and efficiencies.
  • Ensures time estimates for work activities are accurate for scheduling.
  • Utilizes reports to optimize schedules and resource leveling.
  • Collaborates with Engineering, Facilities, Validation, Quality, Manufacturing, and Metrology; may lead special projects.
  • Acts as subject matter expert for work order management, asset management, and the PM program.
  • Supports audit requests and CMMS training.
  • Meets with production and area owners to finalize equipment availability and schedule upcoming maintenance.
  • Uses maintenance reports/metrics to manage current and future work activities.
  • Acts as Shutdown Coordinator or participates in coordinating and scheduling building and utility shutdowns.

Qualifications

  • Required: High School Diploma with 3+ years planning or scheduling or related work experience.
  • Required: Strong organizational, administrative, and analytical skills.
  • Required: Working knowledge of CMMS and CCMS.
  • Required: Experience working within cross-functional teams.
  • Required: Working knowledge of quality management systems.
  • Required: Customer service oriented, works well with internal and external customers.
  • Preferred: Experience in a cGMP Biotech/Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in maintenance of a modern pharmaceutical facility.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of industrial and manufacturing equipment and coordinating building shutdowns.
  • Preferred: Ability to identify safety hazards, LOTO requirements, and precautions for work assignments.
  • Preferred: Experience in an Enterprise Asset Management System.
