Role: Pilot Plant Technician responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining pilot plant equipment, primarily extruders, with additional support for injection molding and converting lines. Objectives: support experimental and production runs, develop manufacturing technologies, ensure quality and safety standards. Responsibilities: equipment setup, process troubleshooting, performing tests, quality control, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements: High School diploma or GED, at least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, pilot plant, or laboratory environments, mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and flexibility for night shift (10pm-6am). Preferred: technical diploma or associate's degree, experience with injection molding, web handling, extrusion, and working overtime/weekends. High-Value: experience in pilot plant operations, process support, quality testing, with a focus on manufacturing processes in a chemical or materials context. Location: St. Paul, MN, with up to 5% domestic travel. Work setup: night shift, flexible hours for training and coverage. No relocation, no sponsorship required.
