Kamada Plasma is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kamada Ltd., and specializes in collecting plasma for the production of critical therapies. As one of the select plasma collection companies in the U.S., our centers are overseen by expert teams utilizing automated plasma collection machines. Our operations are FDA licensed and certified by the PPTA (Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association) and CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments).
As a Physician Substitute, you will be responsible for screening and assessing potential plasma donors, conducting physical exams, reviewing medical histories, managing donor adverse reactions, and administering immunizations. You will perform medical evaluations in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements, and conduct initial interviews, health history assessments, and physical exams to determine donor eligibility. You will also monitor vital signs during and after donations, recognize and respond to adverse reactions or emergencies, and administer immunizations. Maintaining accurate medical records is essential, as is collaborating closely with the Center Physician and Center Quality Manager on complex medical cases. This full-time, onsite role involves ensuring compliance with infection control and safety protocols, maintaining confidentiality and donor privacy, and upholding professional standards.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a high school diploma or GED and a Medical License as an EMT, LPN, RN, or BSN from an accredited institution. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification are also required. Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is preferred. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and the proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You should possess adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations. Proficiency in computer skills for data entry and electronic record management is also necessary. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
