      Role Summary
Phlebotomist responsible for ensuring the safety of donors and purity of product during the plasma collection process. Monitors donors throughout collection for equipment errors, donor reactions, or unexpected events and takes appropriate action.
Responsibilities
  - Set up automated collection instruments and monitor donors through the collection process
- Disconnect donors from automated instruments and manage Level 1 reactions
- Ensure product integrity of the plasma unit and associated samples
- Dispose of products appropriately and collect samples while ensuring product is frozen and stored per procedures
- Stage units for shipment and samples for testing; arrange samples and cases in freezer for organization
- Represent the organization professionally and courteously to donors; maintain teamwork, respect, and courtesy with coworkers
- Take initiative to elevate work-related skills with the goal of obtaining the Advanced Phlebotomist position
Qualifications
  - Ability to interpret health history and vital signs in relation to company criteria
- Completion and maintenance of phlebotomist qualification
- Cross-training and successful qualification for plasma processing and donor screener functions are standard expectations
